In a wireless power transfer (WPT) system, energy is transferred from the transmitter to the receiver through near-field interaction. The coupling coefficient between the transmitter and the receiver is one of the key parameters affecting the system's performance. It is difficult to avoid the resonator coils being misaligned in practical applications, thereby reducing the coupling coefficient between them. In this paper, we investigate the effect of misalignment on WPT efficiency. A magnetic resonant WPT operating at 6.78 MHz has been fabricated and measured under various misalignment conditions.
