Abstract

The structure and mechanical characteristics of heat-treated deformable aluminum alloys are significantly impacted by the thermo-mechanical process. In this study, a number of 9 specimens with different rolling ratio, aging time and aging temparature were conducted to experimentally investigated the microstructures and mechanical properties. Beside, the Taguchi method is applied to optimize the themomechanical and aging parameters of the process at which the allloys achieved the highest tensile strength. The findings demonstrate that the obtained highest tensile strength for alloy was 580 MPa at the hot rolling deformation of 70%, aging temperature 150 °C, and the 10-hour aging time.
