Abstract

This paper presents the manufacturing materials based on polymethyl methacrylate and application for armored composition for RSI-12M ballistic solid propellant charge used in the anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) prototype engine. The research results show that the composition materials have high mechanical properties (tensile strength of 52.1 MPa), well adhesion to the surface of the solid propellant charge (adhesion of 54.5 kG/cm2), dynamic viscosity of 0,515 Pa.s, burning materials produce less soot, low ash content (≈1%), long engine working time (>24 seconds), the average working pressure of 6.4 MPa of the anti-tank rocket prototype engines.
